Welcome to the website of
the Leverstock Green Village Association, known as the LGVA. The association exists to represent the views of local people. It
is concerned with the needs of the neighbourhood and all issues involving the
area. Additionally when needed, it presents the Community’s view to the outside world.
The
Association is run by a committee of local people elected at the Annual
General Meeting. Anyone over eighteen who lives in Leverstock Green is
eligible for election. All work for the Association is voluntary and the
only qualification for potential committee members is enthusiasm.
The committee meets once a
month to discuss matters affecting the Village and there are specialist
sub-committees looking after such diverse matters as Conservation and the
running of the Fete.
If you would like to find
out more about LGVA, or you have any concerns or comments
about the Village, please contact
us.

Policing
Our local PC and PCSO have put
together a very useful resource for residents of the village. It includes
lots of advice about security both at home and out and about, along with
many useful telephone numbers and website addresses. Follow
links to local policing. There was a very useful
neighbourhood meeting on the 2nd July. Questions were raised about how
Neighbourhood Watch was expanding in the area, speeding in Bedmond Road, yet
again, the danger of people practicing their golf swing in allotments in
Tile Kiln Lane and more.
Leverstock Green Chronicles
While the aim of the LGVA website is
to give you information about the village generally, a site well worth
a visit is the one setup and maintained by local historian Barbara
Chapman. Of course the fact she is also the LGVA Chairman is neither here
nor there!
Her site is packed with archives and
if you are interested in Leverstock Green specifically, or maybe just life
over the years in an English village then do have a
look.
